Wm. Stacy Locke, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Locke has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since December 2003. He served as President and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 to December 2003. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer from November 1998 to August 2000 and as President and Chief Executive Officer from May 1995 to November 1998. Prior to joining Pioneer, Mr. Locke was in investment banking with Arneson, Kercheville, Ehrenberg & Associates from 1993 to 1995 and Chemical Banking Corporation from 1988 to 1992.


Lorne E. Phillips, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Phillips was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2009. Prior to joining Pioneer Drilling Company, Mr. Phillips worked the last 10 years at Cameron International Corporation, serving most recently as Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Cameron's Canadian valves operations, Vice President of Marketing and M&A for the valves division, and Business Development Manager for Cameron. Before joining Cameron, he was a Financial Analyst for SCF Partners, a provider of equity capital to energy service and equipment companies, and for Simmons & Company International, an investment bank focused on the energy industry.


F.C. “Red” West, President of Drilling Services

Mr. West has served as an officer since January 2002. Prior to joining Pioneer Drilling, Mr. West was Vice President for Flournoy Drilling Company from 1967 until it was acquired by Grey Wolf, Inc. in 1997 and remained in the same capacity until December 2001. Mr. West has over 40 years experience in the drilling industry.


Joe Eustace, President of Production Services

Mr. Eustace served as VP of Operations for Dawson Production Services from 1982 until acquired by Key Energy Services in 1998. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Eustace served as Group Vice President for Key Energy Services. In 2004 until February 2008, Mr. Eustace was President of WEDGE Oil and Gas Services.


Carlos R. Peña, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer

Mr. Peña has served as Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Compliance Officer since October 2008. Immediately prior to joining Pioneer, Mr. Peña was a General Attorney - Mergers & Acquisitions for AT&T from July 2007 to October 2008. From 1996 to 2003 Mr. Peña was a Corporate and Securities attorney for Vinson and Elkins in Houston and Austin. He came to San Antonio in 2004 and worked in the same capacity for Cox Smith then Fulbright & Jaworski until June 2007.


Donald G. Lacombe, Senior Vice President Marketing

Mr. Lacombe has served as an officer of Pioneer since August 2000. Prior to joining Pioneer Drilling, Mr. Lacombe was Contracts and Sales Manager for Grey Wolf Drilling's South Texas Division and for Flournoy Drilling Company from April 1993 to August 2000.


J. Blaine David, Vice President Drilling Services

Mr. David has served Pioneer Drilling since May 2004. Mr. David assumed the position of Vice President of Operations after serving for two years as Division Manager for Pioneer Drilling. Mr. David has over 28 years experience in the drilling industry, including 19 years in the Gulf Coast land drilling industry, 4 years as an Operations Manager overseas and as a drilling consultant.


Willie Walker, Vice President Drilling Services

Mr. Walker has served Pioneer Drilling since January 2002 and as Vice President of Operations since July 2005.  Previously he served as a Division Manager.  Prior to joining Pioneer, Mr. Walker was Drilling Superintendent for Grey Wolf from 1989 to 2002.


Joe Freeman, Vice President Well Services

Mr. Freeman was an independent entrepreneur in the industry owning JPF Well Service from 1987 – 1998 which he sold to Key Energy Services and became Key’s Gulf Coast Division Manager until 2004. Mr. Freeman joined WEDGE Oil and Gas Services in 2005 as Vice President Well Services Division.


Mark Gjovig, Vice President Wireline Services

Mr. Gjovig was an industry entrepreneur and co-owner of Penkota Wireline Services in Williston, ND from 1981 – 2004. Mr. Gjovig joined WEDGE Oil and Gas Services upon WEDGE’s acquisition of Penkota Wireline Services in 2004.


Randy Watson, Vice President Fishing & Rental Services

Mr. Watson began oilfield career as shop manager for Glen’s Tools in 1981. Mr. Watson served as Region Manager for Dawson Production Services fishing tool group from 1994 – 1998 and then became Mid-Continent Division Manager for Key Energy Services from 1998 – 2005 upon Key Energy Services’ acquisition of Dawson Production Services in 1998. Mr. Watson joined WEDGE Oil and Gas Services in 2005 as GM of Mid-Continent Fishing & Rental Services Division.
